Sorry to hear of anyone passing but it cuts to the bone when it is a Ham Radio Family member like John!

We need more people like Steve to help look out for each other. It means alot for those who have no one else to do so. A BIG THANK YOU to folks like Steve.

Everyone,

 

I just received a phonecall from Steve Hart, KA9OMC in Knapp, WI, informing
me that John McDonald, KB9TLV, was killed in a tractor accident at his
Cumberland, WI, farm sometime earlier this week.

 

Steve told me that John was a regular check-in on the Menominee area repater
net and the last he'd heard from him on Tuesday he was about to go out and
finish plowing his driveway.  When he didn't check in on the net for a few
days Steve called the local authorities in Cumberland and the went out to
his farm and found him.  They suspect the accident happened sometime Tuesday
evening.

 

Skinner funeral home in Cumberland is in charge of arrangements.  At the
present time they have no listing for John on their website.  When I find
out more I'll post it.
